Game rules
Quadriga - version Quatro vor IPC Quadriga
The game's technical conditions:
- a board of 10 x 10 squares
- 4 knights - chessmen of different colours
- 100 identical pieces
- number of players: four
Initial conditions:
- all the pieces are placed on all the 100 squares
- each player has one chessman in a colour chosen or picked at random before
- the player who has drawn position number 1 starts the game taking off any piece and putting his chessman in its place, then, the players who have drawn positions 2, 3 and 4 do the same with their chessmen
- in his way, placing the four chessmen at the beginning of the game is absolutely arbitrary
Course of the game:
- starting from the places taken at the beginning, the chessmen move on the board in the way the knight does the players make subsequent moves in randomized order
- placing his chessman on a square, the player takes the piece off
- the chessman can be placed only on a square where there is still a piece
- squares without pieces are excluded from the further game and the players are eliminated one by one if they are not able make the next move
- the player who has made the last move is the winner
- the player who has won shall not make any other possible moves.
